1959 Eldorado Seville
If I had unlimited funds I would own this car. The Eldorado Seville without the vinyl roof. I like this color too. I know it’s not a convertible, not everyone wants a convertible. Also it’s rarer than the Eldorado Biarritz. On this car a plus for me is no vinyl roof. This is even rarer, since the vinyl roof was standard on the Eldorado Seville.
Cadillac made only 975 Seville models but 1,320 Biarritz models. It would be interesting as to how many of these rare iconic Cadillac cars exist?
The color appears to be Hampton Green #96 a color unique to the Eldorado models. My second choice may be a Vegas Turquoise #29. I know some people want black and only black, but this car seems to pop in this photo. Of course with no vinyl roof, but I would not refuse a car just for that.
1959 Eldorado Seville Death Car
I never realized that this car was stored right in my hometown in Concord, NH. I must have went by the old NH state highway garage thousands of time. While all the while this car was stored away in the garage. In fact, last fall I met a guy who was looking at my 1959 and he told me he worked where the car was stored. He mentioned that the car was tucked away in the corner of the garage covered by a tarp. Imagine this beautiful car in a state owned garage where heavy road equipment was stored and worked on! It makes me cringe.
